Dr Catherine Zollman
Medical Lead

Catherine trained to registrar level in Medical Oncology before qualifying as a GP in 1995. Completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in 2010. In addition to role at Penny Brohn UK, works part-time as an NHS GP and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at University of Bristol. Was a GP Clinical Cancer Lead for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire CCG for 5 years.
Nicky Robinson

Nicky joined Penny Brohn in 2018, and as part of the senior leadership team. She leads the development and management of the charity’s cancer support services. She combines over 20 years of ethical business and charity management experience with her passion for the evidence and benefits of deliciously nutritious food and other enjoyable lifestyle ‘therapies’ in supporting health and wellbeing for everyone.
Janey Barrett
Wellbeing Lead

Janey joined Penny Brohn in January 2018 and leads the Wellbeing team, providing a wide range of support and services to help clients live well with and beyond cancer. Janey is a qualified reflexologist, massage therapist and clinical hypnotherapist, with over 25 years' experience as an enthusiastic and supportive practitioner, course facilitator and wellbeing advisor.
Victoria Kubiak
Nutritional Therapist

Victoria is a registered nutritional therapist who has worked for Penny Brohn UK for over 20 years and also has a private practice. She has a vast knowledge of the history and health benefits of different foods and a passion for inspiring people to cook simple, nutritious and delicious meals using everyday ingredients.
Kim Wilcox
Nutrition Information and Communication Coordinator
Kim joined Penny Brohn in 2021 as the Nutrition Information and Communication Coordinator, after working for the charity as a volunteer research assistant since 2019. Currently completing an MSc in Nutrition & Behaviour, she is passionate about nutrition research and making evidence based nutrition engaging and accessible for our clients, focusing on simple, joyful, positive approaches towards what we eat. Kim also works as an Integrative Therapist in Nutritional Psychiatry at The Priory Hospital, is part of a multi-disciplinary health consultancy called “How to Be”, and lectures in nutrition. Having recently completed a research project on dietary inflammation and mood, she specialises in nutrition to support mental and physical wellbeing cohesively. She also enjoys yoga, open water swimming, playing the piano and reading as much as possible!
Alisa Burke
Physical Activity Lead
BA Hons (PPE) (Oxon), BSc Honours (Psychology), Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation Qualified.
Alisa is the Physical Activity Lead at Penny Brohn as well as a SafeFit trainer offering exercise, nutrition and psychological support sessions to research trial participants with cancer diagnoses. She has 15 years' experience in supporting clients to reach their health and wellbeing goals in the fitness, corporate and charity sectors, in the UK and Singapore. Alisa has a Level 4 personal training qualification and is also qualified and experienced in embodiment facilitation and transformational coaching. She is currently pursuing studies in integrative medicine approaches.
Markus Heimpel

Markus is a highly qualified Shiatsu practitioner and teacher, experienced group facilitator and wellbeing advisor who has been working for Penny Brohn since 2009. Markus brings his love of nature and the outdoors, dance and movement explorations to his work. He has a particular interest in male cancers and supporting men’s health.
Alex Turner
Wellbeing Consultant
BA Sc Acupuncture, MBAcC
Alex joined Penny Brohn’s therapy team in 2012. He is a highly qualified acupuncture and Qi Gong practitioner and experienced group facilitator, with over 25 years' practice in Tai Chi, Qigong, Aikido, Jujitsu, Mindfulness and Meditation. In recognition of his work in cancer care, Alex was awarded a scholarship to travel to Heilongjiang University Hospital for Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018 to deepen his understanding of Acupuncture and Qigong. He brings a gentle, kind approach to his work.
Allon Stokes
Counselling Lead
BA (Hons), MA, Diploma in Professional Skills (Counselling), BACP
Allon has over 15 years' experience as a counsellor, workshop facilitator and supervisor for Cruse Bereavement Care. He joined Penny Brohn in 2016 and leads a team of three experienced counsellors, offering support to clients at all stages of the cancer journey, from the shock of diagnosis and treatment, through the often-delayed emotional impact of cancer, as well as offering support to those facing a terminal prognosis.
Dr Duncan Still
GP and Integrative Doctor
BMBS, MRCGP
Duncan is a GP and advocate of lifestyle medicine who has worked at Penny Brohn UK for over 6 years. He has particular interests in the role of nature-based therapy, breathwork, nutrition (especially the microbiome!), mind-body practices such as mindfulness and meditation and bodywork. He is an enthusiastic forager and wild swimmer!
Duncan also works as the Education Lead for NCIM’s Diploma in Integrative Healthcare and teaches medical students at the University of Bristol.
Lindsay McGrath
Services Administration Lead
BSc Applied Biological Sciences, Post Graduate Diploma Information Communications Technology.
Lindsay joined Penny Brohn 5 years ago after volunteering for the charity for 18 months. She brings her practical skills and creative ideas to the administration of Penny Brohn’s services programme, ensuring everything works smoothly. Lindsay also leads the Client Admin Support Team, responding to enquiries and helping people to identify and book the support that will be most helpful for them.
Alison Hall

BSc Econ, Post graduate Diploma in Counselling.
Alison has 11 years’ experience of listening to our cancer clients and helping them to choose the best route through Penny Brohn UK services. Alison is an astute problem-solver and skilled administrator, who has an interest in nutrition and complementary therapies. As a keen gardener, she knows the benefits of being close to nature and looks forward to a stroll around the Penny Brohn garden to see which plants are in flower.
