What to expect

The MoonWalk London is Saturday 16th May. Penny Brohn UK supports the event every year and we’d love you to join us by volunteering to help us make it a huge success.

We will leave Bristol from our National Centre in Pill by coach at 2:30 pm Saturday 16th May. We aim to arrive in London at about 5:30 pm. Snacks and drinks will be available on the coach.

We will be briefed on our tasks by Walk the Walk team leaders and will be working between 6pm and midnight. Jobs range from applying tattoos, to selling walk-wear merchandise and administration. Food and drinks will be available in the volunteers village but it is advisable that you bring your own food if you have any allergies or food intolerance.

After watching the walkers leave at midnight we will then make our way back to the coach and arrive in Bristol around 3:00 am on Sunday morning.

Volunteering at MoonWalk is a wonderful experience – from the atmosphere, the friendliness, the fun, to the amazing bras and the sheer size of the tent! It really is a fabulous event and being in the thick of it you hear lots of personal stories which is really inspiring.
