In 1990 a flawed research study involving patients who had attended the Centre was published, but is later found to be faulty. The women involved in the study campaigned to change the way medical research is conducted in the UK and the charity is vindicated.

Thanks to loyal supporters including HRH the Prince of Wales, the charity fully recovered and has since gone from strength to strength, working with the NHS and other medical providers to ensure the success of an integrated approach to healthcare.
