Move Dance Feel courses:
We are running six courses over the next 12 months in January, March, May, July, August and November. These are residential courses at Penny Brohn UK starting at approximately 4.30pm on a Friday and finishing at approximately 4pm on a Sunday. We offer accommodation on the Friday and Saturday nights plus all meals from Friday suppertime to Sunday lunchtime. We would encourage everyone to take up the offer of this course being residential however this is not compulsory.
The first course in January will be open for booking at the beginning of November. We will open up future courses for bookings one at a time. The courses are designed to offer a sense of progression, so that participants can choose to attend all six throughout the year. However, they will also accommodate those who just want to come to one course. The courses are open to women only, over the age of 18 with any type of cancer, at any stage in the cancer experience
Please wear comfortable clothing so you can move around easily. You are encouraged to dance barefooted, although socks are also OK (preferably socks with rubber grips such as totes so that you do not slip). It is also fine to wear shoes if you need these for stability. You may also wish to bring a bottle of water (this can be refilled from our water stations) and small snacks should you need to eat between meals.
In winter months, bring warm clothing and sensible footwear in case you go out into the gardens.
You do not need to be registered with Penny Brohn UK to attend these courses. If you are new to Penny Brohn we will ask for some basic contact details from you and also about any particular support you might need. In addition, we will ask you to complete a nutrition questionnaire so we know about any particular requirements you have around meal times and, if you are staying at Penny Brohn, we will ask you to complete a health questionnaire for your own safety.
Places on these courses are limited so, to secure your place, please contact our Bookings team on 0303 3000 118 Option 2 or email Bookings@pennybrohn.org.uk
