Applied relaxation

Applied relaxation teaches you how to become deeply relaxed. We will show you how to help your body relax more completely, through progressive muscle relaxation and breathing exercises. Sessions may include mindful meditation and the use of imagery to help with specific situations such as preparing for and undergoing treatment.

We can provide you with a CD of different relaxation exercises to try at home to help you discover which techniques work best for you.

Residents of Bristol or South Gloucestershire

If you are a resident, or have a GP in these counties, the NHS will fund your Applied relaxation sessions.  In order for us to receive the funding, you will need to go through Bristol Wellbeing Therapies or 0117 982 3209 or South Gloucestershire Talking Therapies on 0117 378 4270. Following a short assessment, you will then be referred to us.
