An opportunity to step back and reflect

Retreats offer an opportunity to step back from the pressures of daily life, to reflect on your own needs and resources and discover what brings joy and meaning to your life.

You will experience different ways to be still, including guided relaxation, meditation, time in nature, and creativity, and explore what spirit means to you. Spirit forms an important part of the Bristol Whole Life Approach and can mean anything from the things that lift your spirits, like being in nature or listening to music, to a particular belief or faith.

We offer the following two-day Retreats:

  • Foods to Nourish Body and Soul: Reflect on your relationship with food and all the ways that you can nourish and support your body*
  • Nurturing Resources: Explore how nature, journaling, creativity and meditation can nurture your personal resources*
  • Stillness and Relaxation: Discover your own paths to peace and stillness*
  • Creative Arts: Explore and express your feelings and emotions using music, writing and art

*includes a one-to-one body work session to encourage deep relaxation.

Retreats are designed for those who have already been on an Approach course and want to deepen their understanding of cancer’s effect on their life.
