We urgently need as many runners as possible to don our purple running kit and take part in this year’s Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 23 September.

The Bristol Half Marathon is a brilliant chance to take in the sights and sounds of Bristol whilst helping us to continue to support people affected with cancer to live as well as possible, for as long as possible.

We’ll fully support you with a fundraising pack, training and fundraising e-newsletters and will provide you with a personalised running vest and the chance to visit us to see how you have helped.

Michelle, who ran for Penny Brohn UK last year, said:

Running for Penny Brohn UK was such a privilege. The support from the team was incredible; I’ve never felt like a charity has had my back like that before! The cheerpoints on the day were great and really kept me going – especially those jelly babies! I’m so happy to tell everyone I’ve raised money for Penny Brohn UK and continue to wear my purple vest with pride.”

We’re also looking for volunteer cheerers to help the day run smoothly and give our runners a boost by making as much noise as possible at designated points.

Running entry costs £30 and we ask runners to raise £250 which could pay for a person living with cancer to attend our residential Living Well course. Runners already with a place in the event are also invited to join the team and support the charity.
