Help change life with cancer. For good

Jackie Collins

We were deeply saddened to hear that beloved and inspirational, best-selling British author Jackie Collins OBE has died of breast cancer aged 77. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Penny Brohn UK is honoured to hear that trailblazer Jackie, who was adored by family, friends and the legion of fans she entertained for over four decades, has chosen us as a beneficiary in lieu of flower donations. Every penny raised will help Penny Brohn continue to help thousands of people facing cancer and their families.

Jackie was diagnosed in 2009 and we understand and respect her choice to keep it a secret. Every day we deal with many people with cancer, including celebrities, and pride ourselves on our caring, confidential services.

With over 35 years’ experience, we understand that cancer impacts every part of a person’s life and the numbers affected is increasing. Penny Brohn is the UK’s leading charity offering a Whole Person Approach – focused on the person and supporter’s mind, body, spirit and emotions, before, during and after treatment. Our free adult residential and day courses empower people to have more control of their health and wellbeing, to turn a potentially devastating diagnosis into a powerful life-changing experience. We focus on areas such as diet, exercise and managing stress, through courses, one-to-one therapies, groups, a treatment support clinic and national helpline.

The charity wants to reach as many people as possible, but needs £2.5 million a year to continue and relies on donations. Anyone wishing to donate in Jackie’s name to Penny Brohn can call 01275 370100 or donate online.
