Last year you trekked, ran, cycled and swam an enormous 6905 miles, ate 536 lunches and afternoon teas, celebrated 4 weddings and 28 birthdays, volunteered over 11,500 hours and raised a whopping £823,000 – all to support people like you to live well with cancer. WOW!
Your incredible generosity means that we are now supporting more people than ever to live well with cancer. Thank you for taking part in #Challenge2019, we think that you are pretty special.
The number of people experiencing cancer is growing – 1 in 2 of us will experience it in our lifetime – and we are finding it difficult to meet demand for our services. We are funded by you – every step you take, every mile you cycle, every cake you bake, every penny you give, keeps our services free so that no one need go through cancer alone.
To say thank you, over Christmas we ran our first ever Thankmas campaign. Each day of the 12 days of Christmas, we delivered a new gift to say thank you for your support.
2020 is our 40th birthday! 40 years of helping people live well with cancer! Worth celebrating right? And, we’d love you to get involved. Will you help us spread the message that we need more than medicine to live well with, or without cancer?
Whether it’s running a half marathon, jumping from a plane, loving our Ladies’ Long Table Lunch or cycling to Paris… Milan or Madagascar, we have a calendar full of exciting fundraising events, with plenty for you to get involved in in our 40th anniversary year!
Our Bristol Whole Life Approach shows how we can live well with cancer. But, there it also shows us how we can look after our own health and well being right now. Things like taking time out for ourselves, eating well, getting active and having fun – even moving outside our comfort zone – can really help to boost our overall sense of well being and even our immune system.
Your support is about more than fundraising. Everything you do – any amount you raise – will make a difference to people living with cancer. And because we know we couldn’t do what we do without your support, we’ll do everything we can to help you.
Whatever you choose to do, tell us about it using #morethanfundraising in your stories, tag us @PennyBrohnUK on Twitter and Instagram. Send us pictures, videos, inspirations and more to show how we all need more than medicine!
