Penny Brohn UK has received a boost with a £500 donation from What’s Right charitable networking group.
The group is made up of businesses from Bristol and North Somerset who use their business activities to raise money and support local charities. They use their businesses as a force for good to support the communities in which they work and live, as well as encouraging others to do the same.
Representatives from the charitable networking group, What’s Right, presented Sophie Thomas from Penny Brohn UK with the donation at their monthly event which was held at Portishead-based chartered accountants, Leslie Dark & Co who are one of the trusted partners in the group.
John Tiley from What’s Right, said: “Penny Brohn UK supports many people in Bristol and North Somerset and several closely associated with the What’s Right Group, therefore we can’t speak highly enough of their facilities and support. It is truly exceptional and we will support this good cause for as long as we exist.”
Sophie Thomas, Community Fundraising Officer at Penny Brohn UK, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the What’s Right business community for their generous donation to Penny Brohn UK. The money will help us to support more people living with cancer to live as well as possible for as long as possible.”
