Cancer rehabilitation services are being offered in Bristol through partnerships with the NHS and Macmillan.
Energise is a partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support, North Bristol NHS Trust, Sports Leisure Management Ltd and Bristol City Council. These classes are designed specifically for people who have been affected by cancer. With Energise you can take part in regular, supervised exercise classes with cancer rehab specific qualified fitness instructors. You can find information online here.
In other areas it’s worth getting in touch with your local sports centre or council to see if they are offering similar classes.
LinkAge and Macmillan Cancer Support are working in partnership to support people aged 55+ living with and beyond cancer, to access a range of inspiring creative, social and physical activities. You can find out more information on their website here.
