This new Garden Blog comes to you from the Garden Team Volunteers, we hope you like it.

Have you looked around the garden recently?

If the winter is feeling a long one – have a close look at our trees and plants, Spring is definitely just around the corner. We have snowdrops – everywhere! such a cheery sight at this time of year, and more to be planted soon (best planted “in the green”).

See also the daffodils near the entrance, the little purple irises, Hellebore and Hamamelis ‘Magic Fire’ in the Inner Courtyard, …and many shrubs and trees around the gardens coming into bud.

Look out for the new green growth of perennials and bulbs pushing up through the soil, with the promise of lots of lovely colour and fragrance. So, wrap up warm and see what you can find. In the next post we will take a look at the new developments in the garden.

The Penny Brohn garden will be open again this year for NGS (National Gardens Scheme)  Sunday 21s June 2015, from 11 – 4 pm, entrance £4

For more details see the NGS website.
