We have been preparing for the first Autumn Open Day at our National Centre. It was a very welcome opportunity to showcase the garden in Autumn after our successful NGS Summer Garden Open Days – held for several years now.

In addition to the usual Autumnal work, many of the team grew plants at home for the Plant Sale and garden jobs were timed to ensure everything looked tidy, healthy and colourful on the day.

Much other work is progressing too,  to give us new interest and colour next year – seen here in photos are sowing extra wildflower seeds in the meadow and collecting leaves to make leaf mould – essential food for our 100s of plants.
