The growing need for psychological and emotional support for people living with cancer means that we need even more people to fundraise for us.
Everything you do – any amount you raise – will make a difference, and we have loads of ideas and opportunities to share with you. If you have a great idea, you can organise your own bespoke event. Download our fundraising pack to find out how.
Top tip: Don’t forget to ask your employer if they operate a matched giving scheme. This means that they match the amount that you raise, pound for pound.
We’ve got a stack of fun activities for schools, with fundraising ideas for everyone from nursery children through to sixth formers. So get your school involved today!
Our Community Team has lots of fundraising materials you can use, are always available to help, and are always a friendly voice at the end of the phone. If you want to get in touch, one of the team can come out to your school (along with our mascot, PB the butterfly) and tell you about the work we do.
Bake a Difference
The nation is baking and Michelin-starred chef Josh Eggleton is inviting everyone to Bake a Difference for Penny Brohn UK this summer!
“I’ve always been a big baking fan – in fact one of the first dishes I learnt to make when I was young was a Victoria Sponge.
“I hope people are inspired to get baking so this wonderful charity can continue its amazing work.”
Do you fancy yourself in Josh’s shoes?
Once you’ve baked your masterpiece, send us your videos and photos sharing how you baked a difference this summer either tweet us, @PennyBrohnUK or tag us on Facebook – you could even upload a video of yourself baking like a real celebrity chef to YouTube!
For some inspiration, Josh has put together two of his very own recipes for you to try out. You can download them here. Whether you try your hand at these delicious dishes or have your own great bake to make, download a the Fundraising Pack today and raise some dough for Penny Brohn UK.
Also required: people willing to bake and eat cake
Maybe, you prefer eating cakes to the messy business of baking them? Check out our events calendar for your closest event.
The Second Redcliffe Bay Brownies recently held an event and raised £142!
“The Brownies were really excited about baking cakes….and eating them. It was a great way to raise money for a fantastic cause and having fun at the same time.” – Brown Owl Pam

Charity of the Year
Whether you’re a Rotary Club or a WI group; a Brownie pack or a sports club – picking a charity to support for a year has huge benefits for both organisations. You’ll have a fantastic cause to focus your energies on, and opportunities to bring people together for fundraising events, and best of all you’ll be helping more people to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
In 2016, we raised £1550 through collection tins. If you’ve got a business, shop or pub and would be willing to collect money on our behalf, please do get in touch. Alternatively, what about keeping one at home?
Across the UK there’s an estimated £345 million in loose change in our trouser pockets, purses, sofas and cars – use one of our tins to collect up all your loose change and by the end of the year, you could have gathered something really significant!
Manby’s Timber store in Cheshire has had a Penny Brohn collection tin since 2002 and has raised £1,780 in that time.
