Hunters Estate and Lettings Agents in Portishead has generously donated new t-shirts to the Penny Brohn Community Choir.
The choir proudly showcased their new t-shirts when they performed in Portishead at the Ladies Luncheon Club at Clarence House on 28 November.
Hannah Currant, Client and Activities Co-ordinator at Penny Brohn UK, said: We are very grateful to the team at Hunters for the kind donation. The choir are delighted with their new t-shirts and are looking forward to their first performance wearing them.
“Recent studies have shown the positive health benefits of community singing for all, but especially for anyone living with cancer. Singing is great for the immune system, improves breathing and sleep patterns and helps boost wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem.
“The choir forms an important part of the choir members’ week, and say it feels like a real family, especially when times are tough.”
Richard Van De Velde, Managing Director at Hunters, said: “It’s a pleasure to support such a worthy cause that give so much to people dealing with cancer”.
The Penny Brohn Community Choir is a relaxed group for people living with cancer and their close supporters to have fun and lift their spirits. The choir runs every Wednesday during term time and perform three to four times a year.
