The 2.6 Challenge took the country by storm and our supportive challengers didn’t disappoint! There were so many amazing fundraising ideas and between them over £5,900 was raised! Here are just a few of the things you got up to…

The Almond Family

Five year old Izzy donned her ballet uniform and completed 26 toe taps and 26 plies while her little brother Lucas, aged 3, slid in to his paddling pool 26 times. As a family they also walked 2.6km every day for a week.

They’ve raised almost £300 so far!

Mum Sam said “Penny Brohn are such an important charity. Cancer is so scary at the best of times, I can’t imagine how people must feel with the added pressure of Covid-19. People need Penny Brohn and right now, they need us. Fundraising for them was a no-brainer and it gave us something to focus on as a family”.

Cian & Jonah’s cycling challenge

Cian and Jonah completed a 26 mile bike ride on static bikes in their garden.

Sunday 26th April ended up being one of the hottest days of the year so far in Bristol and so the brothers were regularly doused with water to keep them cool, Tour de France style!

They’ve raised over £500 so far!

Liv’s Donate and Nominate Challenge

Liv is a long term supporter of the charity; her dad Rich used our services for over 10 years before he sadly passed away in 2018 and as a family they’ve raised over £100,000 for us in that time!

As part of the 2.6 Challenge Liv cycled for 26 minutes and nominated 26 friends to take on the challenge. This spawned a 2.6k run by her mum, 6.2 mile walks, 26 minutes of hula hooping, 26 minute workouts and sprinting 26 lengths of a football pitch among other things!

Here’s Liv with their dog Penny who was named after the charity!

Pam’s Hula-Hooping

Volunteer Pam is Hula-hooping in her garden for 26 minutes every day, for 26 days! She’s listening to Pharell Williams’ ‘Happy’ to keep her going.
