Nature wellbeing day

Woods at Penny brohn UK

Dates will be announced shortly

NatureWell for Cancer is part of a new series of wellbeing days accessing the wonderful green spaces at our centre near Bristol.

The day is open to anyone affected by cancer, whether you have a cancer diagnosis yourself or are supporting a loved one with cancer.

It is your opportunity to come together with others in a similar situation for an inspiring day of nature connection, nature and wellbeing activities and some wild crafts.

The NatureWell day for Cancer has been developed with Natural Academy. It will be led by their facilitators and our wellbeing team.

Sessions will include:

  • Grounding in nature
  • Coming back to our senses
  • A natural craft
  • Natures wisdom
  • Connecting to your own local nature space

You will learn:

  • Ways to help you connect to nature for health
  • Simple grounding techniques
  • Useful and simple nature based tools that will offer ongoing support.

This is an evidence informed programme that will take you on a beautiful journey around the grounds of the centre.

The day will start with a welcome drink at 10am and finish at 4pm. The programme will journey on the 5 Pathways to Nature connectedness, as developed by Derby University, and will focus on nature-based activities that encourage connection to Natural Beauty, the Nature of Compassion and Creative Meaning.

There will also be plenty of time to enjoy a delicious and nutritious lunch freshly prepared in our own kitchens.

No experience is needed, and all sessions are optional.

Please note that we are limited to 20 people and will accept bookings on a first come, first served basis. Because of capacity restrictions, attendees are welcome to bring along one guest (over the age of 18).

Future Dates

If you cannot join us this month, we plan to offer a relax and rejuvenate wellbeing day on the 14 September, which will be added to our website shortly.

We will announce other wellbeing days throughout the year, so look out for information about those.

When this event is fully booked, a waiting list will be available.

Fiona - Nature Day

We are delighted to announce that our first Nature Wellbeing Day is in memory of Fiona Davis who passed away in May 2021. With thanks to the Davis family for their generosity in making this day possible. Fiona loved gardening and nature, and would be pleased to know that her memory is now helping others on their journey with cancer.
