Wednesday 13 July 2022 - 10am–4pm - Fully Booked
Food and Move Day for Cancer on Wednesday 13 July 2022 is part of a new series of wellbeing days at our lovely therapeutic centre near Bristol.
The day is open to anyone affected by cancer, whether you have a cancer diagnosis yourself or are supporting a loved one with cancer. It is your opportunity to come together with others in a similar situation for an inspiring day of good food and movement in beautiful surroundings.
The Food and Mood Day for Cancer will be led by our experienced exercise and nutrition teams. They will share lots of ways to help you eat well and move more. Two of the most beneficial lifestyle habits to support your physical and emotional health.
There will also be plenty of time to explore the beautiful gardens, connect with others and enjoy a delicious and nutritious lunch freshly prepared in our own kitchens.
The day will start with a welcome drink at 10am and finish at 4pm. The programme will focus on movement in the morning and the afternoon will look at ways to make simple everyday food joyful and delicious.
No experience is needed, and all sessions are optional.
- Gentle yoga
- Nordic Walking or a chair-based exercise session (please choose when you make your booking)
- Make your own energy balls
- An ‘edible garden’ tour with herbal tea tasting.
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for light exercise. We like to offer activities outside in the garden whenever we can and recommend you bring items suitable for the weather on the day, e.g. sunhat/sun-cream, a rain jacket and/or warm layer.
Please read the Frequently Asked Questions section below for further information including the COVID safety measures that will be in place.
