Explore Iceland in search of the breathtaking Aurora Borealis
Why should I do it? This trek is truly breathtaking. We’ll spend 3 days trekking through beautiful mountain scenery, geothermal valleys and via picture-perfect lakes. The trek will be challenging; hiking across snow-covered landscapes and conquering local mountain passes. However, the chance of witnessing the dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis will hopefully make our efforts all worthwhile.
By trekking this incredible snowy landscape for Penny Brohn UK, not only will you be taking on a huge personal challenge that many people only dream of achieving, but with every step you take you will be helping us support more people with cancer.
What do I need to know?
We are delighted to once again be working alongside Global Adventure Challenges who have over ten years experience in organising such trips, they have helped thousands of people reach their goals and life-long ambitions. Every Expedition Leader is highly experienced and well trained to provide everyone with the most enjoyable trip possible.
How much do I need to pay or fundraise?
You will be required to pay a non refundable registration fee of £299 at the time of booking and then after this there are two payment options:
Minimum Sponsorship (Option A) – with this option you fundraise a minimum amount of £3,124 sponsorship for Penny Brohn UK out of which we pay your challenge costs (£1,562).
Self Funded (Option B) – you personally cover the full costs of the challenge out of your own pocket which is £1,562 and then fundraise as much as you can; all of which comes to the charity.
On the trek you will be provided with a Global Adventure Challenges Leader, professional local English speaking guides, accommodation, drinking water, all meals, a UK doctor to travel with the group, your return flights and all accommodation. “The support me and my friends received from the fundraising team was brilliant and knowing that we were raising money to support people who will benefit from the amazing facilities at Penny Brohn really spurred us on”.
