About the race
For the second year, the Bristol 10K and Bristol Half Marathon will be happening on the same day. You will head along Anchor Road and out along the Portway underneath the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge before heading back in via Cumberland Road and the historic harbour. This is a primarily flat route and the incredible atmosphere on the day makes it perfect for both new and seasoned runners!
When is it happening?
The Great Bristol Run is on Sunday, 25 September 2022
How do I enter?
Secure your spot in the 10k or half marathon via the Great Bristol Run website and make your miles count.
Once you have successfully entered this event, please email us with your name and number. Our team will get in touch to kick-start your fundraising, show you how to set up a JustGiving page, and welcome you to our team!
How much does it cost?
You’ll need to pay a registration fee to the race organisers and then we ask you raise whatever you can. Every penny you raise will enable us to continue our support. Together we can change life with cancer. For good.
Supporting you every step of the way
Our runners are very important to us and we really want you to feel like part of the team. We will provide you with:

Our fundraising pack, including personalised sponsor forms
An invitation to visit our Centre to see the difference you’re making
Our cheerpoints on the day which will keep you going
Our friendly events team at the end of the phone, always available to answer your questions
Our volunteer cheerers on race day give our runners the huge boost that will help them complete their challenge.
To volunteer on one of our cheerpoints please email us with your name and telephone number.
“Not a mile went by without hearing, “go Tracy” and come on “Penny Brohn”. The sight of the purple flags as you approach each cheering point, with the happiest most enthusiastic supporters I have ever experienced, children with their hands out for high fives oh and a jelly baby or two on offer. Nerves and emotion at the beginning were replaced with empowerment and control I was so proud to wear that Penny Brohn running shirt, a big step in living well with cancer, thank you all”

If you’ve been raising money with a paper sponsorship form then we ask that you return this money to us as soon as possible, but in any event within four weeks of the date of the Event.
Paying in your donation is simple. You can pay it in online, send us a cheque or drop it in to our National Centre. Alternatively, call us on 01275 370 075 and we can take the payment over the phone or give you our bank details.
Please note that all monies that you do raise in connection with the event are held on trust for Penny Brohn UK, and therefore you have a legal responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship monies/donations received in connection with an event are paid to us.
A Just Giving fundraising page is the quickest and easiest way to get donations from friends and family without any money changing hands. It also means you don’t have to worry about sending us donations as your online giving will be directly transferred to us. You can fundraise offline if you prefer, but please do let us know so we can ensure that we recognise your fundraising efforts and can give you some tailored tips.
