3 Peaks Challenge

July 2 - July 4

Ben Nevis photograph - highest peak in the 3 Peaks Challenge

Climb 10,000 feet and walk 22 miles in 15 hours!

About the 3 Peaks Challenge: From the scenic Glen Nevis Valley to the picturesque Snowdonia National Park, join us for one all mighty charity trek as we take on the UK’s giants on this classic 3 Peaks Challenge! We’ll take on Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Mount Snowdon (1,085m) and aim to summit all three in a total trekking time of 15 hours or less. You can see more about this challenge here.

When: 2-4 July 2021. If this date doesn’t work for you, how about checking out the September trek instead?

Distance: 22m miles approx.

Our favourite highlight: All 3 peaks are pretty epic but the sunset at Mickledore is truly something to behold.

What do I need to know?
We are delighted to once again be working alongside Global Adventure Challenges who have over twenty years experience in organising such trips, they have helped thousands of people reach their goals and life-long ambitions. Every Expedition Leader is highly experienced and well trained to provide everyone with the most enjoyable trip possible.

Global Adventure Challenges know there are a lot of things to consider before you get back out into the world so they’ve put together a new Travel with Confidence policy, outlining the steps they and their suppliers are taking to make sure that you are safe. Just click on the link above to explore our policy, and if you need to know more then don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How fit do you need to be? The 3 Peaks Challenge is graded as ‘Extreme’ which means that it is one of the most challenging UK treks out there but it should be achievable by anyone as long as you train adequately beforehand.

Costs: You will be required to pay a non refundable registration fee of £95 at the time of booking and then there are two payment options:

Minimum Sponsorship (Option A) – with this option you fundraise a minimum amount of £810 sponsorship for Penny Brohn UK out of which we pay your challenge costs (£405).

Self Funded (Option B) – you personally cover the full costs of the challenge out of your own pocket which is £405 and then fundraise as much as you can; all of which comes to the charity.

On the trek you will be provided with a Global Adventure Challenges Leader and all travel and meals.

Supporting you every step of the way…
We understand the commitment and dedication it takes to train for a challenge like this and to raise a large sum of money. That’s why we’ll be here right from the moment you sign up.

We will provide you with our fundraising pack including: personalised sponsor forms, inspirational stories and fundraising materials, regular training and fundraising e-newsletters as well as an invitation to visit our Centre to see the difference your fundraising makes and our friendly events team are also at the end of the phone, always available to answer your questions.

Why should I do it? We’re all craving adventure right now and as far as UK treks go you don’t get much more iconic than the 3 Peaks Challenge! By climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales for Penny Brohn UK, not only will you be taking on a huge personal challenge that many people only dream of achieving, but with every step you take you will be helping us support more people with cancer.

“Wow what an experience! I’m aching in places that I didn’t know were possible but I’m so proud of each and every one of us who did it and for such an incredible charity”.
