Penny Brohn UK is calling on friends and families to sign up for its annual sponsored walk, Stomp.

The six-mile sponsored walk takes place on Saturday 12 October and is the perfect way to make happy memories with friends and family whilst raising money to support people with cancer. Penny Brohn UK relies on fundraising to keep its practical, emotional and social support free for people with cancer and is asking participants to pledge to raise £100 in sponsorship.

The family friendly walk starts at Anchor Square on the Bristol harbour-side and follows the towpath along the Avon Gorge towards Penny Brohn UK’s National Centre in Pill.

The event will culminate with the Stomp Autumn Fayre at Penny Brohn UK’s National Centre where there will be stalls, refreshments and entertainment. The fayre is open to the public as well as walkers taking part in Stomp.

Sophie Thomas, Community Fundraising Officer at Penny Brohn UK, said: “This is our third annual Stomp and we’re hoping to make it even bigger and better. It’s a really fun day out for the whole family and everyone is welcome. Including dogs! We’d love to see lots of friends and families take part in Stomp to help us to support more people living with cancer.”

Registration is £12 for adults and £7 for children under 14. Dogs go free! Sign up today.
