Call for volunteers to support people living with cancer

>>Call for volunteers to support people living with cancer

Penny Brohn UK is looking for motivated and committed volunteers to join its team of volunteers who are based at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre supporting people affected by cancer.

Penny Brohn UK Information Volunteers offer information and support to people living with the impact of cancer and inform patients about Penny Brohn UK services; what they are, how they can help and how they can be accessed. Volunteers will be based at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre and will represent Penny Brohn UK at regular events held by the hospital, speaking to groups and individuals before, during and after treatment. No previous experience is necessary and full training will be provided; although an understanding of holistic health and the NHS would be helpful.

Sarah Gottesman, Volunteers Manager at Penny Brohn UK, said: “We rely on the commitment and enthusiasm of our amazing volunteers to support people living with cancer by providing holistic health and wellbeing support. To reach more people and help them live as well as possible, for as long as possible, we urgently need more volunteers to help us run this vital service for patients at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.”
