We are looking for motivated and committed volunteers to work independently at the Oncology Centre at University Hospital North Midlands.
Penny Brohn UK in partnership with Macmillan are wanting to create more understanding amongst patients around how they might support themselves and to make them aware of the support that is available to them.
We would like you to provide information about Penny Brohn UK services to patients whilst they are receiving chemotherapy treatment. We want you listen to patients concerns and help them to understand how Penny Brohn UK services could help them.
A weekly commitment is preferred but there is flexibility to the role. Each session lasts approximately two hours.
You will have access to a broad range of training opportunities with Macmillan. This will include training in cancer awareness and listening and responding skills. If you have no experience of Penny Brohn UK’s Living Well services, you will be invited to sit in on various courses and events to provide you with an understanding of the Bristol Whole Life Approach and Living Well services.
If you would like further information and an application form please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01275 370 094.
