Local choirs to sing together

Choirs from across Bristol and North Somerset will be joining forces this Christmas to raise money for Penny Brohn UK.

The festive fundraiser at Clifton College Chapel on Friday 7 December will see performances from the Bristol Male Voice Choir, High Down Schools, The Voice of Hope and Wellbeing, UWE Gospel Choirs and our very own Penny Brohn Community Choir.

The concert, A Night Before Christmas, is open to the public with doors opening at 6.15pm and the performance starting at 6.30pm. Mulled wine, hot drinks and mince pies will be served during the interval and there will be a chance to win a luxury Christmas hamper and homemade, beautifully decorated, Christmas cake.

Emma Gilmore, Head of Community and Challenge Events at Penny Brohn UK, said: “We are delighted to be back in the magnificent Clifton College Chapel for our Christmas concert this year and with so many talented singers. The choirs will perform classic carols and festive favourites during the evening. All the money raised will help us to support more people living with cancer to live as well as possible for as long as possible.”

Dr Greene, Head of Clifton College, said:  “We are delighted to be able to support the Penny Brohn UK Christmas Concert again this year, taking place in the College Chapel. As well as being a hugely enjoyable evening that brings together so many people from our local community, it raises such vital funds for the invaluable work Penny Brohn UK does to help people with cancer in Bristol.”

Tickets to A Night Before Christmas cost £10 per adult and £6 for seniors and children under 14.
