Festive season fails to frighten flush of colour: Winter in the garden

>>Festive season fails to frighten flush of colour: Winter in the garden

On 1st December no one told the gardens it was winter. Pockets of colour could be found all over – the Love in the Mist and Calendulas in the Cedar Garden, Hydrangea near the Art Room and our earliest Daffodils outside the Alan Long Garden Room. And, who knows where the lovely Clematis is?

The gardens have received much care in the last few weeks to help them through winter. You can see how we have tended to winter pansies here. Now we wait and watch for new growth to pop up as the daylight hours increase.

Season’s greetings to all who work and visit the fabulous gardens.
