Changes to our services: Introduction Day

Home>News>Changes to our services: Introduction Day

In response to client feedback, from December we will be changing our Introduction DayThe Introduction Day will now run from 9.30am – 1.15pm, followed by lunch, which will remain part of the course. As previously, there will be a juice break around 11.15. It will run in the Music Room every Tuesday morning.

The day is designed to inform people living with cancer on what it’s like to be here, introducing them to the Bristol Whole Life Approach and to helping them decide which of our services might be most useful. This service also gives people a chance to meet others in a similar situation.

Also in response to client feedback, we are, for the first time introducing Client Volunteers to help run the course. They will be working alongside one of our usual facilitators, taking the tour at the beginning of the morning, talking about their experience of services and answering questions from new clients.

By shortening the Introduction Day, we will be able to increase the number of individual sessions available to our clients. We will also be offering around 10 more Introduction Days compared to this year, enabling us to see an additional 120 clients and meet the needs of many more people who come to our National Centre.
