I want to take this opportunity to say hello to everyone.
I have been working at Penny Brohn UK for just over three weeks and am really starting to feel part of the team. I feel very privileged to be part of such a wonderful organisation and am looking forward to working for service users, like yourself, across the country to support you through your cancer journey.
So who am I? I am passionate about improving the experience of people who need our support through listening, learning and development. I want to make sure your experience of our services is the best it possibly can be and that you get the support you need when you need it, along with the people closest to you.
My background includes nursing, theatre, education and research and each of these areas has influenced my work in healthcare improvement.
I am committed to working holistically and creatively to reach communities across the country to offer our life enhancing services to even more people living with the impacts of cancer.
As you know, a cancer diagnosis can change everything but there are many things that can make a big difference in the way you can manage the impacts of cancer and support your body’s natural ability to heal.
I will be working with the rest of the team at Penny Brohn UK to continue the unrivalled work that already happens here, and help you find what you need to live as well as you can with and beyond cancer.
I look forward to meeting some of you over the coming weeks and months.
Dr. Marian Naidoo
