Realising the Value at Penny Brohn UK

Shaping the future of self-management education

February 28th 2017

Our annual conference brings together healthcare professionals who are interested in survivorship of long-term conditions.  It is designed to share best practice and showcase our work in the area of self-management education

Penny Brohn UK is proud to be the partner site representing self-management education on the Realising the Value programme, a project funded by NHS England. Through Realising the Value, Penny Brohn UK has been given the opportunity to influence the implementation of NHS England’s Five Year Forward View, in terms of person centred and community based approaches to health and wellbeing. Our conference in February 2017 will look at the future of self-management services in the UK and allow the opportunity to talk to experts from NHS England, Nesta and Penny Brohn UK.

Our key note speakers for 2017 are Prof Alf Collins – doctor, commissioner, researcher and national policy advisor in person-centred care and Ian Benson – Head of Person Centred Care & Self Care, NHS England. They will be discussing ‘Realising the true value of self-care – a national perspective on local solutions’

The conference will also provide you with opportunities to interact with other key leaders in the field exploring what self-management education and the Realising the Value programme means to you in your own working practice.

We have limited spaces available at a cost of £60 a ticket. To book your space click here. This year we are offering limited spaces with B&B in an ensuite bedroom at our beautiful National Centre for £124 (including price of ticket)– book your B&B space here.
