Getting ready for our National Garden Scheme Open Day

Published: June 23, 2016| No Comments

The garden team have been working overtime (2 mornings a week instead of usual 1) for a few weeks now,  to ensure the gardens are looking as good as possible.

In addition much work has gone at home to provide  another very full Plant Sales table on Sunday. Hoping visitors to the Open Day for the National Garden Scheme on 26 June will enjoy all that’s on offer and the wildlife wont take cover and hide!

This week 6-spot Burnet moths were seen in the meadow flying around with gay abandon in the sunshine and  enjoying the purple Selfheal (Prunella vulgaris)  – see photo.

The other photo is from 2013  and is a 5-spot Burnet moth on the Lavender that used to be in the car park.
